The Older Dog

Maybe you or your household are not prepared or up to the challenge of training a puppy, an older puppy or mature Golden Retriever maybe a good alternative.

Breeders sometimes hold onto puppies until they are old enough to determine if the dog has show or breeding potential.  Sometimes circumstances change and a breeder may need to re-home a mature Golden.  Whatever the reasons, when an older dog becomes available, it could be house broken, may know basic obedience commands, and will have formed behavior patterns.  If this Golden has been loved and well taken care of, he or she will continue to provide love to new owners.  Remember, if properly raised every Golden loves and needs people.
