Conformation

What is conformation you say? Some consider it structure, especially when it relates to the shape and proportionate dimensions of an animal.  A conformation dog show or breed show does not compare one dog to another.  It is a comparison of each dog to the ideal breed type as outlined in the breed standard.  In our case, it is a judges attempt to identify Golden Retrievers that are the epitome of the published breed standard in both form and function.
